You would need to set aside £100 per month for 24 months to reach your saving target. Making a commitment to saving regularly means your goal will be achieved in your chosen time frame.

Alternatively, you might want to save applying a more relaxed approach to saving. You might be able to consider options for economising. Take a more detailed look at weekly expenses – perhaps you could reduce or swap expenditure on particular items. If you set aside an hour or two to review your whole budget, there may be all sorts of savings you can make. Some costs are unavoidable, but what about shopping around for cheaper methods to meet energy bills, insurance or even shop at a more economical store?

If you add up how much you have saved, and then consider putting this sum away each week – you’ll be amazed at how it soon adds up.
