Best Hotel Facilities
In a recent survey visitors to the top three hotels in Cardiff were asked about what they considered to be the most important things about the hotels they stay in. Obviously the facilities and standard of comfort are high priorities but the survey revealed other less likely things that made a hotel stand out from the rest.
Hotel Beds
Many hotels have realised that by offering ultra comfortable beds is a sure way to win repeat visitors. Few people have the luxuroy of sleeping in a super king size bed made by one of the worlds best beds manufacturers Vi-Spring – Their beds are consistently voted best beds by travel industry infuencers and many proud hoteliers are more than happy to pass on details of local stockists.
Internet Connection
Not so long ago hotels hoping to attract business went to great lengths to provide internet access in room so hard working lonely guests could continue to “work” on their laptop computers until late at night – exploring the wonders of the web. As time has passed the cable broadband connections have been replaced with wifi to allow all visitors internet access – this is unsurprisingly highly rated by lots of guests who are armed with ultra small netbooks and internet phones to acces web based applications to keep up with the goings on around the world and freinds back home.
Other Nice Touches
Most people are used to the convenience of having a selection of complimentary grooming products in their rooms and we doubt very much anyone bothers to pack a bible when they stay in a hotel thanks to the Gideon foundation. A shoe care kit is a good idea and many a lst minute panic has been solved with the small but adequte travel sewing kit again provided by the best hotels again with compliments.
First Aid Kits
The chances of mis-haps whilst travelling are high – unfamiliar rooms, strange food and climates can all present problems for the unprepared traveller. Choosing what to put in a travel first aid kit is tricky so a great idea would be for hotels to assemble the most used items for their individual location and have the first aid kits readily availble for guests to use. Typically a first aid kit will have various sizes of plasters, bandages, sterile solution along with basic pharmacy supplies, insect repllenet, anti sting cream and perhaps even after sun cream to allow quick first aid to guests.
