Rhodes holidays: the best of both worlds

Holidaymakers are often encouraged to go and explore during their holidays. In your next trip to Rhodes, you will find plenty of occasions to do so. You could be in search of a secluded cove to relax in the sun, or you may be hunting down the perfect taverna to enjoy a drink while admiring breathtaking views or quite possibly you are taking in the sights of the Acropolis of Rhodes. Whatever it is you are in search of,  Rhodes holidays are sure to keep you finding hidden gems from the beginning to the end.

Go in search of a secluded spots and you will find yourself driving along the coastline on the west side of the island, taking in the beautiful views whilst searching for that perfect cove for some undisturbed sun bathing and a dip in the crystal clear waters. Carry on up the coast for somewhere to eat and you will stumble across an array of local restaurants serving fresh dishes with a stunning view for company.

Spend a couple of days visiting Rhodes Town for a sample of Greek culture and history. The walled city boasts the 14th Century Palace of the Grand Masters and the Turkish quarter, located on the western side of the town, is known for its pink-domed Suleiman Mosque and its “hammam” baths. To learn more about the culture and better understand Greece, you can also walk around the city and stop by the very picturesque Mandraki Harbour.
It is possible that you may want a break from sightseeing. In that case, a day out in the seaside resort village of Faliraki, on the north eastern coast of Rhodes will leave you feeling rejuvenated. You will spend your day lazing around on the blue flag beaches and soaking up the sun. Faliraki is also full of cafes where you can stop for a refreshing beer and watch the world go by. After that you may feel you have some excess energy to burn, if so, stay in Faliraki for a night out of dancing and partying till the early hours.

A holiday in Rhodes will offer you the best of both worlds: culture and sightseeing to stimulate your mind and wonderful beaches to rest and relax.
