Met Office Epic Fail Summer 2009 Weather Forecast

Even though the met Office have revised their odds on forecast for a BBQ summer we still feel it is essential to reiterate the sun safety advice and recommend that you stock up on sun protection clothes and creams now in readiness for the August sunshine.

Just as at the beginning of summer many people are caught out by long sunny days after months of being fully covered up this August will see similar sun related problems as people have been sheltering under umbrellas and staring at grey skies for the majority of July rather than slopping on the sun cream.

Summer 2009 – Where has the sun gone?

Even though the Met Office revised their summer forecast today – we would still like to refer to the following guides to sun protection.

For more detailed information visit the sun skin care charity – www.skcin.org The principle principle objective of the charity

is to ensure that the danger of over-exposure to the sun is given greater profile with the emphasis on education resulting in the vital early detection of the disease

Stay safe in the sun and enjoy your holidays and don’t take too much notice of the Summer weather forecasts

  1. From Music Festivals:

You really can’t take any notice of the weather forecasts anymore. In general they seem to get a few things right but the weather is so unpredictable that the best thing to do is be prepared. Carry umbrellas and sun screen and you’re sorted!
