Egypt Holidays – Visitors Guide to Destinations in Egypt
Egypt Holidays – Top Tourist Destinations
Egypt is a popular tourist location as well as a place where historians revel in visiting the ancient civilizations that are there because Egypt has one of the world’s richest histories. However, in current times the tourist business has grown and employs a large portion of Egypt’s 76 million citizens. They are generally warm and genuine people who try to be as charming as possible and are anxious for visitors to spend money in their country and enjoy holidays to Egypt.
Top tourist destinations with package holidays include Naama Bay, Sharks Bay, Sharm El Sheikh, and Marsa Alam.
NAAMA BAY has beautiful beaches, a relaxing atmosphere, restaurants, and a promenade with shops that present an opportunity for haggling for good deals. The roof-top Camel Bar allows for a spectacular view whilst enjoying the tunes played by the resident DJ.
SHARKS BAY: Scuba diving in the Red Sea is very popular and is led by scuba experts. Divers enter into an underwater paradise with a menagerie of sea life and some of the world’s finest coral reefs and famous wrecks. It’s also a location from which to take a cruise along the River Nile. You can visit the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, Valley of the Kings, and the burial place of Prince Tut. There are excursions into the desert on a camel safari with possible camping under the stars.

SHARM EL SHEIKH is called the City of Peace because there are many international peace conferences held there. As a result, there are generally low prices at the three to five star hotels. A popular attraction is The Wave, which is a water sports center.
MARSA ALAM is a small tropical-looking village mainly populated by tourists looking for fishing ventures and water sports such as wind surfers and diving. However, it is also one of the fastest growing resorts on the Red Sea Riviera and has grown since building an International Airport. New hotels and entertainment are set to transform the area. One plan is for a five million square foot resort. There are also tours of coral reef barriers and diving sites with dolphins and sea turtles, the Temple of Seti, and more.
The Emerald Cave/Grotto has an emerald green light that shines on the stalactites and stalagmites through an underwater tunnel that is 12 meters long and 4 meters deep. Once a cave on dry land, it became underwater when the sea level rose. Four meters deep under the water is a ceramic Christmas Crib that was given many years ago to the local fishermen.

The major staple of Egypt is and always has been bread and with this staple, Egypt has created over thirty types of bread and pastries. These come in a wide variety and in all shapes and sizes: flat, round, thick, and thin. The pita is the most common form of bread in Egypt and can be stuffed with all manner of ingredients like vegetables and meat. These are the Egyptian sandwiches, so you will be eating at least one on your trip and probably more than one. The most common is called ‘Aish’, meaning ‘life’ and is darker than its Greek counterpart.
