Red Sea Diving Holidays in Egypt

by in Uncategorized

One of the main attractions on an Egypt holiday is the scuba diving in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, the two resorts that line the Red Sea.

Scuba diving on an Egypt holiday

The idea of a scuba diving holiday draws thousands of tourists to the shores of the Red Sea every year and they don’t leave disappointed. The beautiful diving site of Ras Mohammed Park is the perfect place to experience the stunning aquatic sea life in a controlled and safe environment. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a new comer to the scuba diving world there are plenty of trained divers who are on hand to provide you with tips and valuable information. Another great selling point for scuba diving trips to Egypt is the year round sun, so you can choose anytime of the year that suits you. Whether you are looking to beat the crowds and relax on the beaches or are just looking for some summer sun, an Egypt break will be able to accommodate for you.

With many Egypt hotels providing almost everything you need within the actual complex it may be tempting to relax and soak up the sun by the pool, but to not visit a diving centre would be scandalous. Even if you don’t fancy getting your feet wet you can always take a glass bottomed boat out on to the waters and admire the sea life whilst keeping dry. Even if you intend on going on a relaxing holiday and it then strikes you to explore the possibility of trying out some scuba diving, you will find plenty of scuba diving equipment available for rent, whether it is from your hotel or a scuba diving center.

For something more casual whilst relaxing on the beaches in Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada why not buy some snorkelling equipment and swim in the seas. Although not as impressive as the coral reefs of the Ras Mohammed Park you will still gain a great sense of understanding on how beautiful the underwater life is in Egypt.

I lived in Egypt for three years. My feeling of the place is mixed. There are fantastic sites to see. There are also deeply religious people. If you go for a visit as a tourist you are likely to enjoy the sites. Go in winter when it is significantly cooler if possible. If you plan to live there, you can be quite comfortable as well. You will enocunter a different sets of ftrustrations than you do where you are, but by and large most people can deal with them.
